Today i found i really good reason to be mad at the game GuildWars. i have play GuildWars for some 9 Months and a /age of about 1.076 hrs. completed the game with 4 chars through Pve. Today i logged on and played for about 2 1/2 hrs. then i get a Message saying Someone Else has logged on with this account. thing is Noone know's my password or account name. not even my brother know's that stuff. and didn't download any add on's or plugins for the game. so i sent in for a new password for my account because i couldnt log on, while trying to log on, i asked my guild member's on teamspeak, if they see my chars logged on away or online at all. the said no leet paladin is offline. so i finally get back on via new password. all my chars are ok, but thing is all my Superior Runes,candy canes,ectos,green weapons or anything u would call great items are missing. normally a player would be furious, dont get me wrong i am. just posting this for future refrences incase anyone else is Royaly ****ed over. -Thankz for the fun times GuildWars.

Yeah, same thing happened to me. Just got flamed on these forums for it.

Don't bother. A.net doesn't care if you get hacked and nobody on these forums do either, untill it happens to them.

try this free scan for trojans/keyloggers that you can pick up without downloading a thing.

Quick question for those that have experienced this error recently...

Are you experiencing more lag lately (ie. more skipping around, lag spikes, etc.)??? Just because the error says that someone else has logged on to your account in the description doesn't mean that's what's actually happening. It could just potentially mean the symptoms that resemble something like that could be taking place.

I got this error yesterday too (just once), but it happened as I tried to zone back to Deldrimor WC from inside Sorrow's. I've been experiencing some lag lately - a lot more skipping around, lag during merchant transactions (which I just KNOW is going to end up with me selling off some valuable item accidentally someday), etc. - in PvE outposts (the busy ones, like district 1's of LA and Deldrimor War Camp). I think the game just bonked out for a second and thought I was in Deldrimor WC and Sorrow's Furnace at the same time. Probably because it received the info that I was in Deldrimor before it got me out of Sorrow's (maybe lag-induced?). I know nobody could've ever gotten ahold of my email address or password because neither one is used on forums, etc, and the email for my GW account hasn't even been typed ONCE in months.

Just a random thing. I'm thinking nothing of it, especially since others are experiencing this error too.

1.You dont have to download anything to get keylogged...you know Windows isnt secure..there are holes in it every ~1-2 weeks...did you update your Windows?

2. Your Password is your responsibily, not Anets, you cant blame them for it.

3. Firewall-Bypass Trojans are getting more common, soits a good idea to keep your firewalls up-to-date too.

4. Not every keylogger is detectable, in that case, *shrug* Bad luck.

5. Only publicly available keyloggers/trojans are detectable.

6. Keeping your operating system, your browser, your firewall and your anti-virus up-to-date is very important, people dont take 30 mins daily of their lives to check for updates and then pay the price.

7. It has happened to me, I learned my lesson and I'm telling you what I learned, You cant blame Anet, their system wasnt compromised, nor your account on thier system, someone else got your pass, its not in thier boundaries.

Don't download the hacks from the site they advertise ingame.

...there is a current bug that has NOT yet been fixed where if you are trying to map in to a full district, you will get kicked out of the game with the message that says someone else has logged in to your account.

um... not trying to be rude, but check your inventory again to make sure you didn't misplace your things on another char or dump them in storage...

if someone really did take your stuff - that sucks, I'm sorry.

he's refering to the items...as in PvP only...guess he's not much of a pve guy

In fact, report the ones you do see, that's a breach of the EULA. Help get those advertisers banned off of Guild Wars.

Yeah, it sucks, it happened to me, but since there's really nothing else to say, I'm going to close this. However, feel free to make a thread if it turns out you really didn't lose your stuff and it was misplaced.
